Acne Scar Treatment

Our acne scar treatment can improve the appearance of scarring for a more confident you.

Treatment

Acne scarring is caused by a fibrous process in which new collagen is laid down to heal the trauma of the acne infection. Acne scars are quite common, and can be treated at Lenzie Clinic with our latest fractional laser with “Coolpeel” technology. This device is pain free, so there is no need for numbing cream or downtime to recover following the treatment. Our revolutionary laser can penetrate to the deeper layers of skin to break down the fibrous scar tissue and stimulate the production of new collagen, without causing harm to the epidermis.

More prominent scarring will require a stronger acne scar treatment, but we will ensure your comfort at all times with our cryo-chiller, a numbing cream, or a combination of both.

Please note that scars will never totally disappear but we can make them less visible so that you can feel more confident in the skin you’re in.

How much does a treatment cost?

Cost depends on the extent of the area you wish to have treated. As a rough guide, a full facial treatment will cost $450.

How many treatments will I require?

If you have mild scarring, one treatment with the “Coolpeel” may be sufficient to give your skin a more even appearance.

Those with more advanced scarring may require up to four treatments of “Coolpeel”, however there is the option to choose a stronger treatment. A stronger acne scar treatment will give you excellent results first time round, however, there will be recovery time to consider. The advantage of “Coolpeel” is it’s pain free and there is no downtime.

Is acne scar treatment painful?

The “Coolpeel” option is pain free. The sensation is likened to a slight tingling. Stronger treatments for deep lines will require the use of numbing cream but are perfectly tolerable.

What before and after treatment care is required?

We will provide a full set of before and after treatment instructions which will be tailored to suit your treatment. These will be discussed at your free consultation.
